CONCRETE APPROACHES

Clear Project Criteria:

We thrive to ensure that our projects have a long-term positive impact on the lives of the people we’re helping. Equally essential is that all main stakeholders demonstrate their willingness to actively participate in the process and to understand the basic principles of solar system maintenance. This increases the sense of responsibility for the solar system which is beneficial to the sustainable functioning of the project.
We’ve determined clear criteria to identify suitable projects. We focus on schools, small hospitals i.e. treatment rooms and orphanages. Our solar projects can also be implemented on private homes if one or more of the following criteria are met: families with children, single mothers or people without income possibilities (e.g. due to age or disabilities).
Even though the application possibilities of solar energy for rural areas are huge (e.g. operation of radios, small colour TVs, fans...), our project focus clearly lies on much more basic needs of the people living in poverty. These include lighting applications and the possibility to recharge mobile phones for emergency communication needs.
